The warmest memories of Himalaya

We traveled from Dehradun to Sankri. The base camp of our Kedarkantha Trek.We literally experienced the expression "as cold as ice".The little kids with their shining eyes welcomed us.We all had Fuming Tea and listened keenly to our guide Lalit. We had to wake up early morning and get ready for our trek .

We all walked there ,spoke to the people around and went back to our allotted wooden houses. The house allotted to me was right infront of the Himalayan range, the moment I opened the door the very sight would be Himalayas. The room had a soothing scent of wood,it was cosy, warm bed, chunky blanket,no mosquitoes what more. For a while a pop up came up which said that instead of waking up early how good it would be if I slept happily ,wake up late and to have fuming coffee ,no no fought another thought! All these went on and I dunno when I slipped into a deep sleep.

The next day by 3 am I opened the door without any time lapse.Just a a sound tak-tak I was there ,I dunno  how it was possible.Even when there is traffic noise I go asleep unshaken and that's me!That day with all comforts I could hear that subtle sound.

Both of us exchanged the smile, sat on the wooden plank infront of the house,I pinched myself ,I thought it would happen only in the novels. We starred at the Himalayas.Silence spoke all.
