Life gave him a chance to love more!!

Siddarth was extremely happy as he had chalked out the perfect plan for Amrutha’s higher studies. The newlyweds had promised each other of their plans for the year. She had the great desire to do her higher studies along with her present job whereas he had started to improve his technical skills for the better opportunities. Together they started dreaming of the better life, the places around the world they had to travel, their dream house and many more things.

There was a message for him when he came out of the meeting that evening. Immediately he rushed home she was looking dog tired. He made some hot coffee and sat beside her. That day she had to spend long hours in the lab than usual which had drained her. After having her food she looked better. He assured a good night sleep would help her. The morning was promising she looked fine.  That evening when he returned from the office she was on the couch with her bag beside, it looked although she had collapsed out of tiredness.

The next day Siddarth took her to the doctor. Several tests were made and they had to wait for the reports for the next day. Amrutha submitted her synopsis on phytochemistry to the head of Chemistry department of the institution where she had enrolled for her higher studies after which she went the hospital to collect her reports and concerned doctor.

Every step she took was heavy,  she felt all her desires had come down crashing. Their financial state was not that great to make Siddarth feel happy for becoming the father as it was just 3 months since they were married. She was too scared to tell him as she knew both his reaction and reply!

Siddarth sat with emptiness. He wished he was wealthy to receive the message happily. He wished he could keep Amrutha happy! He had taken the loan for her higher studies; he had to pay the EMI. What if Amrutha quits her job all these thought made him feel depressed!

The dancing plants in the balcony caressed them. Amrutha congratulated him for getting the better opportunity abroad and convinced him not to worry about anything else. The two of them spent enough time together at the balcony. He convinced her not to think too emotionally over all these instead to think practically. She smiled.

Siddarth bid adieu to Amrutha. She sat in the balcony that evening looking at the little jasmine creeper which he had nurtured even when it looked almost dead. He watered it every day after 20 days the little green leaf appeared had made him so happy but now he was helpless. She took out her diary, read a few things and groaned.

The months after months just passed, Siddarth could not give enough time to Amrutha. Even the time zone did not match well. Amrutha also did not complain as she was too busy with her work. Once in a while they conversed and proved that if there is mutual understanding the life blooms. A year and eleven months had just passed like a blink of an eye.

Siddarth finally landed back home. As he arrived at the departure Amrutha was awaiting him with the same infectious smile.  He hugged her tight; she could read the guilt in his eyes. She smiled back which made him feel better.

Siddarth looked exhausted but after a long sleep he felt rejuvenated. They both sat in the balcony sipping hot coffee. His eyes were wet when he looked at creeper; a lady with the baby in her hand who was just walking below added to it. He immediately walked down to talk to the lady. He just wanted to come out of the guilt. He spoke to the lady for some time by then Amrutha joined them. When the little baby held his finger hard it almost killed him.

That evening Amrutha had arranged the little party. Siddarth knew all these was to keep him happy.  That evening he managed to put a smile on his face as all the people around him including Amrutha weas having smile on their face.  Half an hour later the lady whom he had met had come with the baby. This time baby gave him a brochure which read Varaprada with a tag line being in her lap.

Siddarth could not believe this place existed. Amrutha had given birth to this place with her own baby Varapradha in her warm lap. He sat by the side of the stream with her and Varapradha on his shoulder. He repeated within ‘’whenever you have a fear just say yourself –I have a mother’’.
Varapradha - a little forest turned into a garden park with rare medicinal plants, a pleasant place with the fragrance of serenity, beautiful flowers, a stream – It’s simply a place everyone loves to be and no one wants to leave. It had turned to be a boon for the people around it. Siddarth always loved the life probably that’s why life gave him a chance to love more!!
